Dr Jivitesh Vashisht is the 2020-21 Junior Anniversary Fellow and also the Brotherton Fellow at the University of Leeds. His research spans a range of literary forms and cultural productions, and typically cuts across twentieth-century fiction, drama, and media cultures (radio and cinema).

Following a high volume of exciting and thought-provoking applications, the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and the Traverse Theatre are delighted to announce their 2021 Creative Fellows: Raman Mundair (IASH/Traverse Digital Fellow) and Apphia Campbell (IASH/Traverse Playwriting Fellow).

IASH's long-serving Secretary, Donald Ferguson, is leaving IASH after 19 years. He has been the first point of contact for over 750 Fellows in that time, assisting with their research needs and providing a friendly face throughout their stays in Edinburgh. As well as looking after the building and our visitors, Donald also indulged his passion for music by singing with Dr Elizabeth Ford on the recording of Edinburgh's Musick Club, and helped Dr Karina Williamson develop her digital archive on Bryan Edwards.
