Over the years, IASH has focused on a number of key questions in the humanities, especially those which have relevance to the position of Edinburgh within the tradition of the Scottish Enlightenment, a tradition which continues to have relevance today. Our current theme for 2021-2024 is decoloniality.
We encourage work that is inventive and exploratory, and especially work that forges links between the humanities and the interpretive or historical social sciences, and between the humanities in this broad sense and the medical, natural and technological sciences.
