The Institute’s Enlightenment focus in 2011 was on David Hume, with a year-long programme to celebrate the Tercentenary of his birth.
The STAR Project continues to provide a locus for transatlantic research with a Scottish dimension; and through a variety of seminars, conferences, publication ventures and other collaborations, it continues to provide texture for ongoing debates concerning transatlantic theory in practice.
