Applications are now open for playwrights and theatremakers for the IASH/Traverse Creative Fellowship. The scheme is a collaboration between IASH and the Traverse Theatre, Scotland’s leading new writing theatre. In 2024, we are providing one Creative Fellowship that commissions, develops and supports an exceptional and innovative playwright in the creation of a new piece of work that speaks to our lives now and into the future.

This Susan Manning Workshop on Tuesday 30 May 2023 was organized by IASH Postdoctoral Fellow Dr Erika De Vivo and featured contributions from Dr Guy Puzey, Senior Lecturer in Scandinavian Studies at the University of Edinburgh, and Dr Chiara Bonacchi, Chancellor's Fellow in Heritage, Text and Data Mining and Senior Lecturer in Heritage; HCA and Edinburgh Futures Institute.
Dr Ben Fletcher-Watson has been promoted to Deputy Director and Institute Manager of IASH. Ben began at IASH as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2016, researching Relaxed Performances for autistic audiences. He moved into a professional services role to replace Dr Peta Freestone as Administrative Manager in 2017. Since then, he has worked with over 400 Fellows, winning the Principal's Medal for Exceptional Contribution in 2020 for his work on the Institute Project on Decoloniality.
