Professor Rosi Braidotti

Professor Rosi Braidotti holds a B.A. Hons. from Australian National University, 1978, and a PhD Cum Laude, Université de Paris, Panthéon-Sorbonne, 1981. She was a Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, in 1994; she also holds honorary degrees from the University of Helsinki, 2007, and the University of Linkoping, 2013. She has been awarded Knight in the Order of the Netherlands Lion, 2005; Honorary Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities (FAHA), 2009; Member of the Academia Europaea (MAE), 2014.

Dr Olivier Bouin

Dr Olivier Bouin is director of the Network of French Institutes for Advanced Study, which brings together some of the most important researchers in the humanities and social sciences in France. He previously was a lecturer in economics at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, researcher at the French Center for Research in Social Sciences in Prague, and senior researcher for the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris. He also has held positions as director of the French cultural and scientific services in Rome and Boston.

Professor Greg Walker

Professor Greg Walker is the Regius Professor of Rhetoric and English Literature in the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures. His research interests are primarily in the literary and cultural history of the late medieval and early Renaissance periods, with a special focus on drama. His most recent book is, Imagining Spectatorship from the Mysteries to the Shakespearean Stage (OUP, 2016), co-written with John J. McGavin.

Professor Jolyon Mitchell

Jolyon Mitchell is Professor of Communications, Arts and Religion and has also served as Academic Director and Acting Director of IASH at the University of Edinburgh. Professor Mitchell's research and teaching focuses on Religion, Violence and Peacebuilding with particular reference to the arts (e.g. film, theatre, radio, visual arts as well as other new and old media). He has written and published extensively in these and related areas.

Professor Fiona Mackay

Fiona Mackay is Professor of Politics and Director of genderED, and was previously Dean and Head of the School of Social and Political Science (2014-2017). Fiona convenes the Gender Politics Research Group, co-directs the Feminism and Institutionalism International Network (FIIN), and is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (FAcSS).

 

Professor Ed Hollis

Edward Hollis is Professor of Interior Design, and Director of Research at Edinburgh College of Art. Trained as an architect, Edward's research interests include the ethics and aesthetics of building re-use and creative writing. His books of stories The Secret Lives of Buildings and The Memory Palace: a Book of Lost Interiors were both nominated for the Samuel Johnson Prize for literary non-fiction. He is currently working with ‘The Invisible College’ on the renewal of one of Scotland’s most controversial ruins, the remains of St Peter’s Seminary in Cardross, Argyll.
