Professor Hall specializes in judicial politics, especially state supreme court decision making and judicial elections. She has published three books and over fifty articles and essays, and has received numerous awards for teaching, service, and research excellence, including the C. Herman Pritchett Award for her latest book Attacking Judges: How Campaign Advertising Influences Judicial Elections. At the University of Edinburgh, Professor Hall will be working on an empirical study of Scotland’s High Court of Justiciary.
