Dr Tara Stubbs is Associate Professor in English Literature (Oxford University Department for Continuing Education), and Dean of Kellogg College, Oxford. She works on modernist and contemporary poetry and fiction, with particular interests in Irish, Scottish, and American literature. The author of American Literature and Irish Culture, 1910–1955: the politics of enchantment (MUP: 2013), which was re-issued in paperback in 2017, Dr. Stubbs has recently completed her second monograph, The Modern Irish Sonnet: Revision and Rebellion (Palgrave Macmillan 2020). Her work at IASH will build on her recent research and public engagement projects around the use and understanding of contemporary poetry in society (see https://www.conted.ox.ac.uk/about/poetry-and-structure), and will focus specifically on contemporary Scottish poetry, drawing on the resources of Edinburgh University Library's archives.
