Project: Sacred Comedy in Early English Drama

I am a Senior Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Geneva, where I received my doctorate in medieval English literature in 2015. I am currently a researcher in residence at the University of Edinburgh and the IASH, where I am beginning a new research project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. Within this project, I intend to develop an approach to Early English religious drama which frames some of its most sacred subjects with humour. I am interested in developing performance-based approaches, as well as considering recent studies in the History of Emotions and Embodied Cognition.
