project: Listening to the world: field recording practices and listening perspectives
Noémie Fargier is a French researcher, writer and stage director. She holds a PhD in Theatre and Sound Studies (Sorbonne Nouvelle University, 2018), and teaches in the drama department since 2015 (University Paris Nanterre, University Paris 8, University of Strasbourg). From January to August 2020 she will be a Postdoctoral Fellow at IASH, working on recent developments in the practice of field recording. Since 2011 she has written and directed several plays, which all question intimacy and subjectivity. She has recently developed projects associating field recordings with an exploration of sensitivity and narration.
