The Alwaleed Centre About the speaker: Dr Brown is author of the acclaimed monographs Hadith: Muhammad's Legacy in the Medieval and Modern World (2009) and Misquoting Muhammad: The Challenge and Choices of Interpreting the Prophet's Legacy (2014). His 2011 publication Muhammad: A Very Short Introduction has provided audiences throughout the English-speaking world with a highly accessible and engaging introduction to the life and legacy of the Prophet Muhammad. In this special public lecture, Dr Brown will turn his attention to the often-discussed but very often misunderstood subject of Islamic Law (Shari'a). How intolerant is the Shari'a?
