
Art27 Scotland @ Southside invites you to an evening of music, performance, visual art and conversation with Yemeni artists and current IASH-Artist Protection Fund Fellows Shatha Altowai and Saber Bamatraf.
The evening includes the opening of Shatha Altowai's new exhibition Scratched Identities, Saber Bamatraf's new musical collaboration with Edinburgh-based uilleann piper Phil Westwell and cellist Katherine Campbell, and a rehearsed reading of 'Saber Came to Tea', directed by Robert Rae. The reading will be in Arabic with English captions. The evening will close with a panel discussion on the following topics:
8 October: 'Women Artists in Exile'
9 October: 'The War in Yemen'
