Friday 24th April 2020 would have been the beginning of a three-day reunion and celebration at Hope Park Square, marking 50 years since the first Fellows arrived at IASH. The event itself may not be happening, but we are delighted to present some of the research that would have been enjoyed by alumni and current Fellows.
This short film, highlighting research by University of Edinburgh graduate Charlotte Lauder, was produced by Ben Fletcher-Watson and edited by Bill Walsh. Charlotte is now a collaborative doctoral candidate in English at the University of Strathclyde and the National Library of Scotland. Her PhD explores national identity in popular literary magazines produced in Scotland between 1870 and 1920. She researched the history of IASH for her undergraduate dissertation.
