Edinburgh Medical Students Council and Edinburgh Medical School would like to invite you to a panel discussion for the 2019 Edinburgh Medical Debate.

The evening will be chaired by Professor Mona Siddiqui, Chair in Islamic and Interreligious Studies at the University of Edinburgh.

Speakers include:

  • Dr Fizzah Ali, Neurology Registrar and Editor, Medical Woman Magazine
  • Professor Lorna Marson, Professor of Transplant Surgery (University of Edinburgh) and Honorary Consultant Transplant Surgeon.
  • Dr Elizabeth Pollitzer, Director of Portia
  • Dr Ellen McCourt, Former Chair, BMA Junior Doctors Committee
  • Dr Richard Weller, Honorary NHS Consultant Dermatologist and Principal Investigator
  • Wesley McLoughlin, Year 3 MBChB student, Edinburgh Medical School.

There will be breaks for Q&A throughout the evening and a vote will be taken at the beginning and end of the evening.

There will be a reception after the debate to which everyone is welcome. This event is free and open to all.
