‘Pollution in a Promised Land’: Human Rights, Justice and the Environment in Palestine and Israel.

Eurig Scandrett was a Friends of the Earth delegate to the West Bank in 2012 and Gaza in 2015. He has explored the relationship between justice and environmental practices in Israel and the occupied Palestinian Territories.

Elspeth Strachan spent three months in the occupied West Bank as a volunteer with the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI). Its mission is to witness life under occupation, and engage with local Palestinians and Israelis pursuing a just peace, to change the international community’s involvement in the conflict, urging them to act against injustice in the region.
