We were saddened to hear of the death of Dr Stephanie Dumke on 31st March 2018. Dr Dumke was the Susan Manning Postdoctoral Fellow in 2014-15, working on her project ‘Romantic’ versus ‘Classical’: The Distinction and Its Fortunes in British and German Criticism and Literary Practice, 1789-1830. She went on to hold a Carl H. Pforzheimer Jr. Research Grant from the Keats-Shelley Association of America, allowing her to carry out research in Weimar and Frankfurt am Main. Latterly, she was an Academic Visitor in the English Faculty at Oxford University.
A celebration of her life and scholarship, including readings, music, photographs, and reminiscences will be held at University College, Oxford on Sunday 17th June from 2pm.
