Professor Dorothy Miell, Chair of IASH’s Advisory Board has recently completed an appointments process to select a new Director from the summer of 2017, to succeed Professor Jo Shaw. It is with great pleasure that we announce that the new Director will be Professor Steve Yearley, Professor of the Sociology of Scientific Knowledge in the School of Social and Political Science. Steve’s extensive experience includes many years directing the ESRC Genomics Policy & Research Forum, and he is a co-Director of SKAPE. His research focuses on social studies of science and in environmental sociology.
