This was the third event held by IASH/Scottish PEN to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The first conference, on 8 March 2012, was on “Translated Identities” and the speakers were Marilyn Booth, Marianne Boruch, Dilys Rose, Olga Taxidou and Kapka Kassabova
In 2013 the theme was “‘We live in Gothic times’ – Scottish Women’s Gothic and Fantastic Writing”. The speakers on that occasion were Elspeth Barker, Margaret Elphinstone, Sian Hayton, Monica Germana, Alison Fell and Alice Thompson.
