The last few years have witnessed urgent conversations on reproductive justice globally, following the setbacks to abortion rights in the US and its legalization or decriminalization in Latin American contexts. Yet questions of reproductive justice are not only about abortion: they are about parenting, healthcare, environmental toxicity, period dignity, and moral and religious lifeworlds.
GENDER.ED and IASH come together to mark International Women's Day with a roundtable and a reception in the Project Room (1.06), 50 George Square, from 12:00 to 14:00 GMT. Our speakers, including IASH Fellow Professor Marcy L. Karin, will present their activism and scholarship in transnational contexts, followed by a Q&A with the audience.
