Description:

The Chaplaincy will host a training day in Religion and Belief Literacy, with the leaders of the Religious Literacy Leadership Programme.

The Religious Literacy Leadership in Higher Education Programme works with HEIs to enable them to:
•  Understand legal requirements around religion and belief;
•  Become expert in understanding religious and belief issues within universities;
•  Make the most of engaging with faith and belief communities; and
•  Work towards widening participation in higher education.

The programme has so far worked with over 30 University Vice Chancellors and their deputies, and over 100 senior managers and university leaders, on issues including equality & diversity, freedom of speech & safe space, widening participation & social mobility, and good campus relations. For further information please see:http://religiousliteracyhe.org/

These issues will be explored at the Conference through a series of workshops.  Please note that places are limited and early booking is advised.
