Intersectionality

University of Edinburgh Staff Pride Network present a special panel event on intersectionality, to mark the end of our programme of event celebrating LGBT History Month.

Intersectionality is defined as the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage.

At this event we will hear from a panel of guest speakers from academia and business, exploring the issue of intersectionality, what it means to them, and what effect it has on their lives. The panel will then open to discussion and questions from the audience.

Panellists will be announced nearer the event. Watch this space! Free tickets are available via Eventbrite.
