Green Tease workshop: Music Festivals & Climate Change with Matt Brennan

Wednesday 6 April, 5pm in Evolution House Board Room

Join Dr Matt Brennan (University of Edinburgh) and Creative Carbon Scotland for an interactive discussion and workshop exploring what roles music festivals can play in the transition to a more sustainable society.

Over the past year Matt and CCS have worked together on an AHRC-funded research project Fields of Green, exploring the environmental sustainability of Scotland’s music festivals through the eyes of artists, audiences and festival organisers.

In this Green Tease discussion, we’ll learn about Matt’s research background, what led him to initiate Fields of Green, and some of the key findings and ideas raised over the course of the project in the team’s discussions with music festival organisers, festival goers, touring musicians and industry professionals. In light of this discussion, participants will be invited to take part in a playful festival scenarios session with the challenge of balancing multiple priorities in the festival planning process including environmental, economic, social and artistic drivers!
