Frances Poet: STILL - a theatrical exploration of pain and the human condition  

Still is a play about the transitions of birth and death which tells four interconnected stories: as a couple labour to birth their first child, a dying man labours towards death; a soon to be grandmother struggles to step foot outside, while an old man travels a hilarious drunken odyssey to return home. The stories will play out in a mixture of monologue and snippets of scenes and each will defy expectation. As the four tales build into a choral climax, we will no longer accept that birth equals joy, death equals sadness and pain should be eliminated.
