Editing the Twentieth Century
Associate Professor Guy Cuthbertson (Liverpool Hope University)
The complexities of textual scholarship identified in our first two seminars this semester do not abate when the texts under consideration belong to the more recent past. In this seminar Guy Cuthbertson, drawing on his recent editorial work on Edward Thomas, undertaken in collaboration with Lucy Newlyn and others, will discuss the particular challenges he encountered – both theoretical and practical – when working with early twentieth-century materials.
