Dr Diego Molina is an IASH Environmental Humanities Fellow for 2026, and currently a Visiting Researcher at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. A botanist by training, he transitioned into human geography and environmental history to explore the evolving relationships between people and plants. On this topic, he has published widely in journals such as Environmental History, Economic Botany, and Global Environments.

The Dangerous Women Project began at the University of Edinburgh on International Women's Day 2016, asking "what does it mean to be a dangerous woman?" A decade on, the Project has produced over 350 essays, three brilliant books, a whole host of events and a community of authors around the world.

Professor Tobias Kelly takes over as Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH) on 6 April 2026, following the retirement of Professor Lesley McAra. Professor Kelly will be the ninth Director of the Institute, which was established in 1969.
