Michela Massimi is Professor of Philosophy of Science in the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences at the University of Edinburgh. She works in the area of history and philosophy of science with a focus on topics such as realism, pluralism, perspectivism, and scientific models, and is the author of Perspectival Realism (OUP 2022). She is President-Elect of the Philosophy of Science Association (PSA) and served as Vice President of the European Philosophy of Science Association (2015-2019).

On Saturday 20 August 2022, a host of special guests gathered at IASH for the official unveiling of a commemorative plaque to writer and journalist Dame Rebecca West.
