The Late‐Romantic Information Age: Speculation, Improvisation, and Mediality, 1820‐1840
Angela Esterhammer is Principal of Victoria College and Professor in the Department of English, University of Toronto. Her current project examines interrelations among print culture, theatre, periodicals, and fiction during the 1820s, focussing on the recurrent themes of speculation, improvisation, and personal identity. In addition, she is General Editor of the Edinburgh Edition of the Selected Works of John Galt and will be conducting research for an edited volume of Galt’s shorter fiction.
